Eid is THE biggest celebration for Malaysian Muslims. It is a time for families and friends to come together to strengthen “silaturrahim” (relationships/friendships). But thanks to Covid-19 and the lockdown imposed, this Eid wasn’t the same.
We created a box sleeve with two pairs of hands, in the act of salam (asking for forgiveness and acceptance via a double-handed handshake). The idea was to substitute physical salam with the pizza box, by having the pizza delivered to a friend or family. This way, you can still maintain silaturrahim, even though you’re far away.
